SAXON HARRAR
Saxon Harrar is a Chicago-based artist whose work bridges the raw and wild beauty of nature with refined craftsmanship. Raised in a household where woodworking was both an art and a livelihood, Saxon grew up watching his father build custom cabinetry. This early exposure instilled an appreciation in him for materials, precision, and design.
This foundation in craftsmanship merged with Saxon’s deep connection to the outdoors, cultivated through years of running ultramarathons on rugged trails and climbing vast stone walls. Exposure to nature’s textures helped shape Saxon’s designs, while his endurance taught him the art of surrendering to forces larger than himself. Drawing from these influences, Saxon began working with concrete and wood, transforming organic forms into sculptural, functional designs.
Through Saxon Stone, he channels the essence of the outdoors into handmade concrete pieces, each carrying the weight of natural inspiration, built to withstand time yet remain deeply connected to the elements that shaped them.
