Based out of Chicago, Saxon Harrar has immersed himself in a wide range of interests and art forms that have all come together in the craft of his creations. His fascination and allure of nature are at the core of what has helped develop his personality, purpose, and inevitably, his designs.
Early on, Saxon spent many years getting to know nature intimately through his love of running trail ultramarathons and getting lost in the woods for hours without signal. This athletic solitude meant a consistent lifestyle of creating his own routes and being embedded amongst the trees. Alongside running, Saxon has a passion for climbing up giant walls of stone, which has been a source of learning how nature can teach one to surrender to forces bigger than ourselves and experiencing nature’s textures and artful disciplines firsthand.
Later on, Saxon’s attention to detail for nature became a tool and an inspiration when beginning to build his first concrete and wooden pieces. Meanwhile, his exposure, knowledge, and understanding of nature allowed him to flourish while project managing at Chicago's plant and home goods shop, Maison Du Prince, and sold many of his early pieces. Shortly after, Saxon’s products were featured at Renegade Craft Fair,Misanthrope,The Insect Asylum, and LoVe Fair in Chicago.
Now, Saxon’s insightful visions and designs have come to life to bring the lessons of nature to a larger community, and bring a warmer and closer sense of the beauty of the outdoors into any indoor environment.
